Dark money groups already a factor in Maine’s targeted U.S. Senate race

The group has spent over $800,000 in the race so far, according to data from [AdImpact]. The group also invited Collins to two town-hall style meetings that it billed in a news release as an opportunity to be her “first free, open, and advertised public forums since her first term in office” beginning in 1997.
