"A new [joint report from the ad tracking firm [AdImpact] and analytics company Cross Screen Media](https://www.politico.com/f/?id=00000172-150d-d57a-ad7b-5f2fd9520000) projects that the total ad spending on the 2020 election cycle will reach $6.7 billion, up 12 percent over their initial $6 billion projection for the cycle."
