Tucker’s strategy for his fledgling campaign has been to try to play to the conservative base in the state. One of his first stops was on Sean Hannity’s radio show on Wednesday, where the conservative host and Trump booster lit up Tillis. Tucker spent most of the interview portraying himself as fully pro-Trump. He’s already launching a TV ad to boost his name identification and criticize Tillis; he’s spending nearly $200,000 on Fox News Channel starting Friday, and buying radio ads as well, according to data from [AdImpact].
